A specialized consulting engineering services company is hiring Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) in Saudi Arabia, for their operations in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of rotating machinery in oil and gas projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Engineering Design
- Lead the design, specification, and selection of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and fans, tailored for oil and gas applications.
Performance Optimization
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment performance, conducting failure analysis and reliability studies.
On-Site Leadership
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and operational start-up of rotating machinery.
Maintenance Planning
- Develop and oversee maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Project Collaboration
- Provide technical expertise during project execution to ensure adherence to standards, deadlines, and budgets.
Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with vendors to ensure equipment specifications align with project needs.
Documentation
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports and engineering documentation.
Problem Resolution
- Offer expert-level support to resolve technical challenges during operations.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all work aligns with industry safety protocols and best practices.
Team Integration
- Work in synergy with engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver results.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment, especially in oil and gas projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in the design, maintenance, and operation of rotating machinery; familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
Certifications
- Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
Skills Required
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Deep understanding of oil and gas industry standards.
Additional Preferences
Familiarity with offshore and onshore facilities; a record of managing complex machinery projects.
