We are looking for a highly skilled Procurement Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in procurement, quality control, and vendor management, particularly within the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. The successful candidate will oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco’s standards and regulations.

Desired qualifications & experience

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in inspection, with a minimum of 3 years of supervision of vendor inspection activities in oil, gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, and communication projects.
  • Previous Aramco approvals as PQCS.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and Aramco’s standards.
  • Expertise in inspection processes, vendor management, and procurement quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the procurement quality control process, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco’s standards and regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of suppliers and vendors to verify product quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards
  • Review Material Requisitions (MR) for all inspectable materials to ensure the right materials are sourced and compliant with quality standards
  • Verify and review materials (9COM) and ensure proper documentation for procurement activities
  • Coordinate with the procurement department to select Saudi Aramco-approved vendors and ensure that vendor performance meets Aramco’s specifications
  • Monitor the implementation of No-Objection Practice on purchase orders by Saudi Aramco to ensure compliance with procurement rules
  • Assist in the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and preparation of Award Recommendation (AR) for vendors based on quality and cost assessment
  • Prepare Inspection Assignment Packages (IAP) and MTSA for non-inspectable items to ensure clear inspection criteria are set
  • Ensure that all procurement documents (such as technical specifications, quality documents, etc.) comply with Aramco’s quality standards and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate vendor inspection schedules in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to ensure timely inspections
  • Review vendor quality documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and inspection reports to verify quality compliance
  • Organize and facilitate Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) with vendors and relevant stakeholders to ensure expectations are aligned
  • Submit NMR’s/IDR’s Packages and track the approval of IDR’s to ensure that all vendor quality issues are resolved and documented in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to ensure that procurement and inspection activities are progressing without delays.
